About Us – El Modeliste

El Modeliste is the embodiment of a deep passion and a craft passed down through generations. Founded by Mohamed El Baqqaly, a third-generation designer and artisan of leather shoes and accessories, the brand is rooted in a rich heritage of craftsmanship and innovation.

Mohamed began his journey in the world of shoemaking as a child, learning the trade in his father’s workshop in Casablanca. His passion for the craft led him to formal training at the Vocational Training Center in Rabat in 2009, followed by further specialization in the renowned training centers of Salé and Fez.

In 2024, he launched his brand, El Modeliste, with a vision to redefine luxury footwear and accessories. Each piece is meticulously handcrafted using the finest quality full-grain leather, premium materials, and time-honored techniques to ensure durability, comfort, and sophistication.
